Private-testing draft
Privacy Policy
Safe Kids TV and Kids Safe Platform are in private testing and preparation. This policy is a practical draft for Google Play readiness and should be reviewed before public launch.
App purpose
Safe Kids TV is a children's video app for manually reviewed videos. The child app is viewer-only. Creator upload and admin review happen in separate web systems, and videos appear in the child app only after admin review, approval, and publish.
Data we may collect or process
- Parent account email and password-derived authentication data for sign-in and subscription access.
- Subscription entitlement data, such as plan, product id, entitlement status, and backend verification status. Raw Google Play purchase tokens are not stored.
- Parent settings, parent PIN state, language and age filters, watch-time settings, and local app preferences.
- Watch/session progress and first-party operational analytics needed for app function, reliability, safety, and creator/admin reporting.
- Support messages when a parent or creator contacts support.
Data not collected through the child app
- No ads, advertising ID, ad SDK, or third-party tracking SDK.
- No GPS/location, contacts, camera, microphone, photo library, or external media upload permission.
- No comments, chat, social posting, public child profiles, or public child upload surface.
Why we use data
We use data to operate parent accounts, subscription access, parent controls, approved video playback, safety filtering, support, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and reliability monitoring.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs. Operational providers may process data only to run the service, such as hosting, database, or Google Play Billing when subscriptions are enabled.
Security
Staging and production-ready endpoints use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed. Sensitive operational secrets are not stored in the app repository. Access to creator/admin systems is separate from the child app.
Children's privacy
The child app has no public child profiles, no social features, and no child upload surface. Parent controls remain protected by a parent-created PIN and optional biometric unlock after PIN setup.
Account and data deletion
Parents can request account deletion or data deletion from the parent-protected Account Center in the app, through the public request form at Delete account/data, or by contacting support. Some records may be retained where required for legal, child-safety, billing, fraud-prevention, security, audit, or operational integrity reasons.
